hello have just brought a second hand stair lift its only one year old. I have installed it and plugged it in but I assume that i have to wait till the batteries are charged up before it will work. i have noticed a charging point on the body of the battery/motor casing what is this for? would very much appreciate your advice

I have a meditek chairlift that is always breaking down.
How can I check if I need to purchase a new battery as the light on the charge will not go to green?

I would appreciate your advice on this problem

Hi, I am writing in hope that you may help. My father has had a meditek stairlift for 2 years now. It has not worked properly from new. The batteries constanltly go flat. The installing company here in Australia "AAA stairlifts" are of no help for reasons I will not go into here. I am an electrician and I believe the brass brushes are not contacting the copper tracks 100% of the time because they are too short. I believe the battery voltage drops to a point where the control card is powered down and the batteries will not recover even with the power supply on. BTW this stairlift is positioned outside. Can I buy a new brush unit? and can I buy a workshop manual so that I can maintain this unit. There is no model number on the stairlift but it looks like the 140 model you have on your website.

Regards
