Minivator 2000 Curved Stairlift
If your relative has a curved staircase; spiral, with bends, curves or landings, then you need a curved stairlift such as the Minivator 2000.
Each stairlift is built to order and we make sure your new curved stairlift fits your staircase perfectly and maximises available space for other stair users. If your relative has a small or narrow hallway you may have given up hope of finding a curved stairlift that will fit. But the Minivator 2000 curved stairlift has the tightest internal bend on the market meaning it can be installed into homes where other stair lifts simply won’t fit.
The track can be placed on either side of the staircase but obviously a lift fitted to the inner curve of your stairs leaves the wider part of the stair available to other members of the family.
This lift is battery operated so when it’s being installed there’s no need for any modifications to your home to get an electricity supply to it – this means a quicker install with no damage to your décor. The track generally comes with two charging points, top and bottom, when you’re not using the stairlift leave it parked at one of these points to recharge – they’re usually located where the stairlift stops. Sometimes an alternative parking position is required for example where a hinge track is used in which case, use the ‘park’ button on the remote control.
The slimline design of this Minivator straight stairlift allows it to be folded up when not in use to maximize space on the stairs for other members of the family. The slim track itself is fixed to the stairs close to the edge of the staircase, again for maximum clear space. This model has a powered footplate which makes folding the lift up easier for anyone who has trouble bending down – you can choose to fold the footplate by flicking a switch located under the arm of the stairlift or when folding the seat up and down.
This is a very easy to use stair lift, it’s protected by a key switch to prevent it being used by anyone who shouldn’t do so and once switched on you just hold the toggle switch in the direction of travel. The toggle can be fitted to either the left or right arm depending on your preference. The seat turns when you reach the top of the stairs so the user can get of in complete safety and there is an option to add a powered swivel to make turning the seat even easier.
The Minivator 2000 is available in two types of seat and a choice of colours.
