Freelift – stairlift manufacturers
Freelift is a stairlift manufacturer based in Holland, with a subsidiary in Gateshead, England. Freelift stairlifts are very strong in central Europe and the stairlift manufacturer boasts export sales to 30 countries.
Freelift was one of the first stairlift manufacturers in Europe and began trading around 120 years ago. Today, Freelift has 200 employees and an operating revenue of 38 million Euros.
In December 2007, Freelift was acquired by Handicare, owned by Ferd Private Equity Fund. Handicare was founded in 1986 and deals in wheelchairs and home-care products as well as adaptation of cars for the elderly and disabled.
Freelift stairlift customers would have been unaware of the changes, with service continuing much as before. Every Freelift stairlift is custom-made for each individual customer. Freelift straight and curved chair lifts can be ordered from the company and take between five and seven weeks for delivery, although shorter times are possible for urgent cases.
As with other stairlift manufacturers, Freelift stairlifts are always a perfect fit, no matter how high, steep, curved or twisting the staircase, and the track fixes directly to the staircase. This means there won’t be any messy building work.
