The Acorn curved rail stairlift is extremely smooth and quiet when you’re riding up and down the stairs. Because the lift operates without mains power it’s much quieter than some other lifts in its class – noise level is something you may not have even considered when looking to buy a stairlift but a noisy stairlift can be very annoying when you use it often.
These lifts are almost a quick to install as a straight stairlift and are tidier than most stairlift installations because there’s no need to have a mains electricity supply to the lift. This means no need for an electrician to update the domestic electricity supply and it avoids unsightly cabling and damage to existing decor. It also means that if there is a power failure the stairlift will continue to work so your relative will always be able to get about.
The Acorn 80 can be fitted on practically any curved staircase and its slim rail attaches directly to the stairs, so there’s no damage to your relative’s home. If there is a doorway near the top or bottom of the stairs don’t worry that’s fine, there’s an option to cater for that too.
