UK Stairlifts Supporting History – Update
UK Stairlifts is based in Keighley and we are proud of our Yorkshire roots. So when we saw an opportunity to lend our support to two local and family history societies, we jumped at the chance.
From this initial collaboration, we have made a point of trying to support other, similar organisations throughout Yorkshire, who are seeking to preserve the history of the county and its inhabitants.
Following these successful partnerships we have now been able to expand our support into Lancashire and now beyond thanks to the Wigan Family & Local History Society and Bedford Architectural Archaeological & Local History Society. Take a look at the Society web page using the link at the bottom of this page and contact them for more information.
Preserving History
The Societies offer valuable facilities and resources to people in the local community seeking information on their own family history, as well as undertaking their own research, holding seminars and lectures and preserving historic documents and material.
Many of these groups are registered charities and rely on their memberships, donations, sponsorship and their own initiatives to raise funds to continue their work.
