Hi Steve,

The seat on a Cumbria MK2 straight stairlift can be adjusted, however you need to purchase an extension bracket.
If you go on the Lift Able website at http://www.liftable.co.uk/contact_us.html
You will be able to purchase one there.
Hope this was of help.

Kind Regards,
Krisztina

Hi Adrian,

You will have to contact the manufacturer of the stair lift as each stair lift has different features and capabilities.
Hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

If I could ask a question on behalf of my dad....
Hoping you can advise.
He purchased a Stannah stairlift last year.
It's great apart from at the top of the stairs he struggles to get out of it because the chair is too low as it is closer down to the top step and his legs need to be straighter to enable him to push out of the chair.
It is adjusted to it's highest notch by the looks of it.
Is it possible to be able to get a chair that sits higher than the one he has?? A couple of inches higher would make all the difference. He does'nt want to put an extra cushion on for safety reasons.
thanks
