The Acorn Superglide stairlift is so called because it is extremely smooth and quiet when you’re riding up and down the stairs. Because the lift operates without mains power it’s much quieter than some other lifts in its class – noise level is something you may not have even considered when looking to buy a stairlift but a noisy stairlift can be very annoying when you use it often.

These lifts are also quicker and tidier to install because there’s no need to have a mains electricity supply to the lift so avoiding any unsightly cabling and damage to existing decor. It also means that if there is a power failure the stairlift will continue to work so your relative will always be able to get about.
