The StairSteady is a fantastic low cost alternative to a stair lift.  The StairSteady is a hand rail system that supports the user as they move up and down the stairs.

The StairSteady’s hand rail system is an affordable solution for anyone with limited mobility, undergoing rehabilitation, recovering from short-term injuries or who are just not as sure on the stairs as they once were. 

The StairSteady makes using the stairs safer and easier, allowing the user to move up and down with more confidence.

How the StairSteady Works

A hand rail is held by the user and slides easily up and down a second guide rail, which is fixed firmly to the wall.  The hand rail locks when pressure is applied to allow the user to safely ascend or descend their stairs, supported on every step.

Both the hand rail and the guide rail are solidly constructed and fixed firmly to the wall.  When not in use the hand rail folds away to grant unfettered access to the stairs to other users.  The StairSteady has been tested with weight up to 25 stone. 

Flexibility

The StairSteady can be fitted to both straight and curved staircases.  A dog-leg configuration can be fitted to allow the user to use the hand rail on stairs with turns, half landings or two flights.

Additional options are available to customize your hand rail to your exact requirements.  A second hand rail can be added to the StairSteady to allow two users to move up and down the stairs one after another.  To blend the hand rail with your decor, alternative colours for the hand rail and guide rail can be chosen as well as different handle types, all available at additional cost.
