Thanks for the question. A normal plug socket is fine and the plug from the stair lift charger will contain a 3 amp fuse.  The power supply needs to be within 1 metre of the top or bottom of the stairs, depending on the model you decide upon.  Some need it at the top and others, the bottom.

		<description>I am in the process of building a new cottage in Madeira and wish to make allowances to later fit two straight chairlifts. At that time I will contact UK Stairlifts. However, I need at this time to make provision for the electricity power to the motor. What power plug should I install, and where should this plug be located? Is 15amp single phase enough?
