How do stairlift prices compare?
Residential stairlift companies in the UK are understandably not that keen to put up their prices on the Internet for all the world to see. However, a little research into stairlifts can give a general impression of prices.
For example, a Bison Bede UK stairlift, which comes in a fairly slim design and offers basic stairlift functions, retails from around £1,400. A Brooks Lincoln stair lift, with a reputation for reliability, retails at a similar price.
A little more money, at about £1,750, buys you a Minivator 1000, which comes with similar features, but is a little more solid and comfortable. Expect to pay from around £900 to £1,300 for a refurbished stair lift, which should offer many years of perfectly good service.
Of course, curved stairlift prices are higher. While you can buy a custom-built refurbished curved stair-lift from around £2,800, be prepared to pay well over £3,000 for a twin-tracked new curved stair lift. An example is the Minivator 2000 stairlift, which comes in an ergonomic design with a wide choice of seat fabric colours and a 12-month warranty. This stairlift will cost you upwards of £4,000.
