The Solus stairlift is a slim, ergonomically designed stairlift from Stannah. It is packed with cleaver new twists and advancements on traditional stairlift features.
Sleek Design – Advanced Features
The stairlift has been designed in conjunction with Seymour Powell, a leading design agency, and this collaboration is apparent in the lifts sleek lines.
The chair supports the passenger with a high, wide chair back. The seat is covered by soft fabric or leather to make the ride as comfortable as possible. The leather and fabric comes in a range of colours to match the stair lift to your home decor.
Stannah’s curved rails designed for each individual stair case and as such, they fit perfectly. The carriage runs on twin, slim-line rails that hug the contours of the stair case to take up as little room as possible, making the stairs accessible for other users. The rails can be finished in one of six different colours to blend well with stair case decoration.
Stairlift Safety Features
The Solus has a raft of safety features, uniquely implemented. The chair swivels one way to allow the passenger to get off the stair lift at the top of the stairs safely.
The seat contains a seat-load sensor that detects when a passenger is fully aboard. If you knock the controls before you are correctly seated the stair lift will not move. When you are aboard, the controls become operational. An easy to operate seat belt secures the passenger in the chair and can be fastened with only one hand.
The stairlift also has sensors fitted in both the carriage and foot rest which stop the lift automatically should they detect an object on the stairs. To prevent accidents with unauthorised use of the lift, it can be safely de-activated using a simple key switch which is cleverly built into the arm controls.
Stairlift Operation
The arm control is an innovative design that can be fitted to either arm of the stair lift. The passenger simply pushes the arm left or right depending on the direction they wish to go.
Additional controls at both the top and bottom of the stairs can be used to call or send the lift when a passenger is not on board.
When you have completed your journey, a one step folding system is operated by raising the arm rests. The seat and foot rest will be folded away automatically. This method does not require you to bend down and fold each part of the lift separately.
Stannah Two Year Warranty
