The Sofia curved stairlift boasts a modern design and lots of features to ensure the comfort and safety of its user.

The Sofia is designed to fit on both curved and straight rails. Stannah’s curved rails are designed specifically for the staircase to which they are to be fitted. The twin rails are slender but strong, giving the Sofia a smooth, firm ride up and down.

A large well cushioned seat gives the user lots of lower back support when they are on board. The seat covering of either vinyl or fabric comes in a range of colours, to help the stairlift co-ordinate with the home.

The stairlift is operated by an easy to use control by the passenger or by remote controls at either end of the stairs. This means that for any reason the stairlift is not on the same level as you, you can call it at the push of a button.

The lift can be folded away quickly and easily with a great ‘one step folding’ system. By pulling the arm rests up. The rest of lift is then folded away automatically.

The Sofia has a number of safety features including a swivel seat to make getting off the lift at the top of the stairs safer, a seat belt to keep the passenger secure, sensors to detect any objects on the stairs and stop the lift and when the passenger is safely aboard and a key switch to immobilise the lift when not in use.
